First of all, it’s time to secure your shoot location! When we work together, you are responsible for securing a spot for your session. Once you have scheduled your video shoot with me, it’s time to take the necessary steps to ensure a successful shoot.
One of the most important things to consider is the location. Depending on the type of video we are shooting, you may need a specific setting or backdrop. I highly recommend shooting at a well-lit location, ideally with big windows so we’re shooting in natural light. If you cannot or do not want to shoot at your own home, the first thing I'd recommend is reaching out to family or friends whose houses you think would compliment the aesthetic/vibe of your brand. If no one comes to mind, you can browse some AirBnB options, or secure a studio space in Calgary!
When it comes to filming a video session, choosing the right location is vital. Not only does it set the tone for the final result, but it also plays a significant role in creating the perfect ambiance. However, locating the perfect space can be a daunting task, but with Calgary studio spaces for rent, you can secure your shoot location with ease. Tips to keep in mind when it’s time to secure your shoot location
When reaching out to studio spaces, you will need to confirm that the locations have all the furniture pieces you will need for your session. For example, if you want an edit of you working at a desk, make sure to ask if the studio has a desk and a chair that you like and can use. If they don't, be sure you make alternative arrangements so that we are able to get all the video shots that you're dreaming up! With various options to choose from, you can explore the perfect location to match your vision and secure your shoot location with confidence.

The Brownstone - 7,000 sq ft industrial, large space with variety
of backgrounds and textures to work with. Plus there are 2 lounge areas and private patio we can use!
Venue 308 - this venue offers a variety of options both in terms of backgrounds to choose from and furniture that you can use. The exposed brick is such a stunner!
Studio Atelier - another great space in Calgary with the exposed brick, which has been painted white to create more of a clean, bright look.
Colony Studio - trendy, modern studio space which is also a co-working space! I also love the fact that they have plenty of free parking around the place, so if you’re bringing a lot of props into your session you don’t have to walk too far :)
The Study Studios - this studio has large windows overlooking the downtown, which gives me the NYC vibes every time I am there.
Studio Boheme - a minimalistic bright studio with extra large windows. This website doesn't include any photos of the studio, but you can peak at their Instagram to see how other creatives used this space.
The Studio by Staci Mitchell - Staci included lots of photos of the space so you can get a really good idea for what to expect.
Workshop Studios - this bright studio space features white walls, large windows and variety of backgrounds to choose from.
Mas Studios - this studio is massive! It has two bright, south facing studio spaces, each 2,300 sq ft in size.
Snap Photo Club - this studio space is definitely geared towards a “selfie” experience as it provides variety of colourful and themed backgrounds/settings, from a bright yellow lemonade stand to giant flower walls - but depending on what your project scope and vision is, this studio might be a great location option for your session.
