When The Weather Network approached me with a project to showcase their new partnership with Mark’s Work Warehouse’s winter gear, I knew it was an opportunity to create something special. The goal was clear: capture the essence of Canadian winter and show how Mark’s clothing enables people to embrace the season with confidence.

Meeting the Challenge Head-On

The project had a quicker deadline than my usual turnaround time, and while that could be a challenge for some, I thrive in environments where adaptability is key. Working closely with the client, we streamlined the planning process to ensure everything was set for a successful shoot.

Our mission was to film Connor, a video journalist with The Weather Network, as he layered up in Mark’s gear and embarked on a winter hike. The focus was on capturing high-quality 4K footage that highlighted the durability and comfort of the clothing—boots, jacket, fleece, toque, and mitts—while also showcasing the stunning winter scenery.

Choosing the Perfect Location

We chose a location that would serve as the perfect backdrop: a snowy mountain trail that offered both the challenge of a winter hike and the reward of breathtaking views at the summit. From close-up shots of the gear to beautiful views of the landscape, every frame was designed to tell the story of how Mark’s equips Canadians to enjoy the outdoors, no matter how cold it gets.
